I find it amusing, but also somewhat frustrating, that even though my profile clearly identifies me as Male seeking Male, most of the unsolicited messages I get are from members whose profiles identify them as Male seeking Female. Now, I can think of two possible explanations: either they saw my picture, thought it looked female to them, and didn't bother to read my profile; or they are actually Male seeking Male but cannot even bring themselves to admit it on an online dating site. Either way, that does not create a first impression that would make me want to know more.
